Rules
A complete set of rules for both ALF and SCALF facility licensure is available at adph.org under the heading “Provider Services”.
The state health department surveys and licenses all Assisted Living facilities. The ADPH and ALAA agree that the rules and survey process has a prime objective of “Abating Harm”. To abate harm is to eliminate those risks to safety and health that can be prevented. All Assisted Living employees are trained in safety and procedures to help residents of Assisted Living live without fear of harm.
